Az Android 1980-ban, Debrecenben alapított progresszív zenekar. Olyan debreceni együttesekkel említhetjük együtt, mint a Color, a Panta Rhei vagy a Lux. Az Android folyamatosan koncertezik napjainkban is. Zenéjük egyedi, progresszív rockot kombinálnak new age, jazz és folk elemekkel.
Az Android zenekar 25 éves múltra visszatekintő East Of Eden címet viselő, instrumentális remekműve a magyar progresszív zenei műfaj egyik legjelentősebb darabja.
A zenekar zeneszerzője, Tőzsér József több mint 25 évvel ezelőtt komponálta. Először Dudás János gitárossal vették fel és kazettán adták ki 1995-ben. 2009-ben jelent meg CD-n, ezúttal már a teljes Android zenekar közreműködött rajta. A zenekar 2008 óta folyamatosan játssza a művet, mely természetesen fejlődik, Tőzsér József újabb részeket írt hozzá az elmúlt években.
2019-ben a Gramy-H Kft Quality Vinyl Projects kiadójának gondozásában jelent meg az East Of Eden Revisited vinyl album, mely a zeneanyag 5 legfontosabb darabját tartalmazza.
Az Android a teljes zeneanyagot újra felvette, így lett a címe East Of Eden Revisited.
A zenekar a kiváló minőségre szakosodott kiadó útmutatásait követve rögzítette tökéletes hangminőségben az albumot, melyet aztán Barabás Tamás, a QVP nemzetközileg is elismert hangmérnöke, kevert ki és készített masztert az audiofil kiadáshoz. Az újrajátszott East Of Eden szvit azonban nem csak a hangminőség miatt került magasabb szintre, hanem a zenekar a darabokat újrahangszerelte, beépítve a több mint 10 éves folyamatos játszás során kiérlelődött fejlődést.
2019. őszén CD-n is kiadásra került a kiadó gondozásában az album. Ezen a vinyl változat 5 kompozíciója mellett az eredeti East Of Eden teljes anyaga, azaz mind a 7 kompozíció helyet kapott.
Azt gondolhatnánk, hogy ezzel teljessé vált az Android – East Of Eden Revisited projektje, de koránt sincs erről szó. A zenekar elhatározta, hogy az albumot elérhetővé teszik nagyfelbontású audió formátumban, sztereó és surround hangzásban egyaránt. 24 bit /96 kHz sztereó wav, 24 bit / 96 kHz 5.1 DTS és Dolby Digital 5.1 hangsávokat is találunk a lemezen.
Tőzsér József 2 új szerzeményt is komponált a DVD változatra, ezzel 9-re emelve az East Of Eden Revisited darabjainak számát. A felvételek ismét a megfelelő gondossággal készültek, Barabás Tamás pedig elkészítette a nagyfelbontású sztereó és surround keveréseket is, a Gramy Recording Stúdió nemzetközileg is elismert műhelyében.
Az audio trackek mellett video extrák is találhatók a lemezen. Összesen 6 kompozícióhoz készültek videó klipek, melyekhez szintén sztereó és 5.1-es hang is tartozik. A videó extrák mellett egy audió extra is meghallgatható a kibővített kiadásban. 2011-ben szimfonikus zenekarral is felvették a XVIth Century Hungary kompozíciót, melyhez 2020-ban készített extra hangsávokat Tőzsér, Mező és Dudás.

Android is a progressive band founded in 1980 in Debrecen. We can mention it together with such bands from Debrecen as Color, Panta Rhei or Lux. Android is constantly performing nowadays. Their music combines unique, progressive rock with elements of new age, jazz and folk.
The instrumental masterpiece of the Android group, entitled East Of Eden, dating back 25 years, is one of the most significant pieces of the Hungarian progressive music genre.
József Tőzsér, the composer of the band, composed it more than 25 years ago. It was first recorded with guitarist János Dudás and released on cassette in 1995, then released on CD in 2009, this time featuring the entire Android group. The band has been performing it continuously since 2008, and is naturally evolving; József Tőzsér added new parts in the recent years.
In 2019, the East Of Eden Revisited vinyl album was released under the care of the publisher of Quality Vinyl Projects, Gramy-H Ltd., Which contains the 5 most important pieces from the material.
Android re-recorded it entirely and renamed it East Of Eden Revisited.
Following the instructions of the high-quality label, the band recorded the album in perfect sound quality, which was then mixed and mastered for audiophile release by Tamás Barabás, QVP’s internationally acclaimed sound engineer. However, the replayed East Of Eden suite was upgraded not only because of the sound quality, but the band re-arranged the pieces, incorporating the development of more than 10 years of continuous performing.
In the fall of 2019, the album was also released on CD under the care of the label. In addition to the 5 compositions in this vinyl version this release featured the entire material of the original East Of Eden, i.e., all 7 compositions.
One would think that this would complete the Android – East Of Eden Revisited project, but that is far from the case. The band decided to make the album available in high definition audio format in both stereo and surround sound. 24 bit / 96 kHz stereo WAV, 24 bit / 96 kHz 5.1 DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks are also available on the disc.
József Tőzsér also composed 2 new compositions for the DVD version, increasing the number of East Of Eden Revisited pieces to 9. The recordings were made again with due care, and Tamás Barabás also made the high-definition stereo and surround mixes in the internationally recognized workshop of the Gramy Recording Studio.
In addition to audio tracks, there are also video extras on the disc. Video clips were made for a total of 6 compositions, which also include stereo and 5.1 sound. In addition to the video extras, an audio extra can also be found in the extended edition. In 2011, the composition XVIth Century Hungary was also recorded with a symphony orchestra, for which Tőzsér, Mező and Dudás made extra soundtracks in 2020.
